informant reveals that Zosmita (Skamita) is therein described
as being time President of the Central Comittee of the
communist organisation in Java. Lim Soe Oon is described in
the list as being both the President of the Canton Committee
and "General Mayor" (Major-General?) of the military deper* ---
ment at Canton. The person Bian Ho mentioned in the tele
is evidently the person entered in the list of names as being
attached to the "transport aestion" at Hong Kong.
9 Taken in conjunction with one another, the list
of names and the telegram for sensational reading. They are
still more fraught with meaning if credit is to be attached
to a report to the affect that the dommittee of the Dutch
Indian commanist organisation at Canton has voted a sum of
five thousand galldors, to be paid as a reward to the persons
who will effect the murder of the Governor-General and the
Attorney-General of the Netherlands East Indies. It is
1leged that tro Javanese domestic servants have beɛn
selected for the purpose, and that the method to be employed
will be the administration of pois n (digitaline).
Chinese Lim 300 Con already mentioned and one F. Chow (also
connected with the "Long Tong Kongai" and said to be
Secretary of the Dutch Indian Conmanist party at Canton) are
reported to be concerned in this conspiracy, regarding which
the Dutch Consul-eneral at Hong Kong has been in comunica
tion with the Government of that Colony. The latter, at the
request of the Consul-General, has caused the premises of
the "Long Tong Kongai" to be searched, but nothing of an
incriminating nature has been found.

My informant tells me that the Dutch authorities haw
not yet made up their minds as to whether credence should be
placed in all these reporta. On the one hand, the information
aapplied bears a plausible appearance and deals with persons
who are for the most part known to be identified with the com-
minist movement. On the other hand, it is remarkable that,
when the atomeer alluded to in the telegram was zwarched, the
